CACOVID, NCDC Donate Millions to Oyo State

The Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde has announced the donations received from The Private Sector Coalition Against Covid-19 (CACOVID) and NCDC.

According to the governor, the donations were made to help Oyo State purchase equipment and renovate the Isolation Centres in the state.

Makinde said, ‘CACOVID donated N250 Million to Oyo State – N220 Million for equipment and N30 Million for renovation of our isolation centres.

‘The Governor of NCDC is also supporting our state with N100 Million. We are grateful to CACOVID and NCDC for the support.

‘We are working to increase the capacity if our isolation centres by adding a 100-bed isolation centre in Saki.’ Also Read: Delta State Governor Appointments 5 Judges, Spells Out New Rules in Court

’40-bed isolation centre in Ogbomoso, 40-bed isolation centre in Igboora, and another 24-bed isolation centre in Aawe near Oyo Town.

He added that the 10- Bed Isolation Centre at Agbami Chest Centre, Jericho will also be renovated.

As at 8 PM on Monday, Oyo State confirmed a new Covid-19 case for a suspected patient.

Information reaching us is that the case is from Ibadan South West Local Government Area.

So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State as at 8 PM on Monday, is sixty-five.
