Yobe State’s Chief Justice has Died

The Chief Justice of Yobe State, Justice Garba Musa Nabaruma, is dead.

According to a source, Nabaruma died in an Abuja hospital after a protracted renal disease. Also Read: El-Rufai Appoints Four High Court Judges

He served as Yobe’s number one judicial official for about 10 years, having been sworn in since 2011 in that capacity.

The late judge will be buried according to Islamic injunctions today, Tuesday, 19th May, 2020.

Since the report of his death, some well-meaning Nigerians have been writing tribute to the late Chief Justice.

Former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi wrote:

‘ It is with sadness that I received the news of the death of Hon. Justice Garba Nabaruma, CJ of Yobe.

‘He left indelible footprints in the dispensation of justice. My deepest condolences to his family, Yobe State Judiciary, and the Yobe State Bar. May his soul rest in peace.’ -PO
