The executive governor of Edo State, Governor Godwin Obaseki has congratulated Super Eagle striker, Victor Osimhen for his recent international award.
He wrote in Twitter: “Nigerian Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, on his Prix Marc-Vivien Foé win, awarded to the Best African Player in Ligue1 ENG.
“He is doing Edo proud at Lille Olympique Sporting Club and we celebrate him for being an enviable ambassador of our dear state.”
Victor Osimhen who hails from Edo State is a Super Eagle striker. He won the 2020 Prix Marc-Vivien Foe Award by RFI for the best African player in the French football league.

Osimhen is the second Nigerian to win the Prix Marc-Vivien Foe award after Vincent Enyeama who won the award in 2014.
He was chosen by a jury of sport journalists specializing in French and African Football.
Although Osimhen arrived in Ligue 1 in 2019 to replace Nicolas Pépé who left for Arsenal F.C, he however, quickly became one of the biggest scorers of the French championship.
With 13 goals and 4 assists in 27 games, the 21-year old Nigerian is amongst the best players of Ligue 1.
