The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Abayomi visited Nigerian returnees from Dubai currently under isolation
at Orchid Hotel Lagos on Friday, May 15th.
According to the commissioner, the visit afforded him the opportunity to directly interface with the returnees and to be acquainted with their concerns for a greater Lagos.
Prof. Abayomi made a promise to the returnees on behalf of Lagos State Government that ‘their concerns would be addressed as much as possible.’
However, he advised them to comply with isolation protocols issued by the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 (PTF). Also Read: Ministry Receives 50 Bicycles to Aid Mobility of Health Workers
Also, he reiterated the need for strict compliance with rules as that remains imperative in containing the spread of the virus.
He urged all stakeholders including relatives of the returnees to remain calm as the 14 days isolation was very important towards protecting the returnees and the general public from infection.
The Commissioner also reported 58 new COVID19 Infection case confirmed in Lagos on the 14th of May, 2020. The number of confirmed COVID19 cases in Lagos is now 2115.
