The Ministry of Health, Uganda received 50 bicycles from the Turkish Corporation and Coordination Agency.
The Perm. Sec. Dr Diana Atwine announced on Thursday, May 14 in Twitter.
‘Today, we received 50 bicycles from the Turkish corporation and coordination Agency as support to our health workers for mobility to and from the workplace.
‘We also received 6 computer units from the Uganda Health Systems Strengthening project under USAID to boost our Call Center.’ she said.
Earlier, the ministry announced the donation it received from The National Fellowship Churches.

While receiving the donations, the Perm. Sec. Diana said it was a great boost to the country’s response.
As at Thursday, Uganda has recorded 21 new COVID-19 cases confirmed from 1,593 samples of truck drivers.
This brings the total number of COVID-19 cases to 160 in Uganda. All 303 community samples have tested negative for COVID-19. Total number of recoveries is 63.
