The Honorable Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire in a media briefing today stated that the Federal Ministry of Health has indicated interest to be part of WHO Global Solidarity Trial of Medicines to tackle the COVID19 pandemic.
Efforts to conduct research in Nigeria is ongoing.
‘As we begin this new week & the prospects of gradual ease of the lock down, I wish to start by reminding all citizens that this new phase comes with an added responsibility to be extra vigilant & compliant with the accompanied measures & guidelines”he said.
‘The Federal Ministry of Health and partners are supporting Kano State Ministry of Health on service delivery & training in consultation with Gov Umar Ganduje.’
‘The gaps in routine hospital service delivery are also being addressed”
In addition, Dr Osagie Ehanire called on all public and private health care facilities not to reject persons seeking medical care especially in cases of emergency.
‘It is unethical not to attend to persons in distress, at least give them advice on what they should do.’ he said.
