Governor Akeredolu tests positive for Covid19; goes into isolation.

The Government of Ondo State, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, has announced to the public the result of the COVID-19 test carried on him.

The test result which came out on June 30th, showed that the governor is positive to the deadly Coronavirus disease.

Initially, Governor Akeredolu claimed to have felt the symptoms of malaria and was treated afterwards. But he decided to carry out a COVID-19 test which confirmed him positive.

Although the Governor tested positive for the virus, he claimed he does not feel asymptomatic nor is he displaying any symptoms.

However, he would observe self-isolation, while a supervised home management by the medical team at the Infectious Disease Hospital would be administered to him.

Also, Akeredolu assured the people that his present condition would not affect his administrative work as he would attend to them from home.

He urged the citizens to adhere to all precaution measures and stay safe.
