Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, has on Tuesday 16, June 2020, visited President Muhammadu Buhari, at the Presidential Villa Abuja to declare his interest to run for the second term.
After presenting his form, Gov. Akeredolu proceeded to the All Progressive Congress (APC) National Secretariats to submit his interest form, to run for the second term as the governor of Ondo State.
While speaking at the National Secretariat, Akeredolu said his second term ambition is to validate his numerous achievements as regard to industrialization and infrastructural development, which he believes that the people of Ondo state would attest to.

Also, the governor said that since democracy started in Ondo State none of the past governors can beat his achievements in four years.
Akeredolu was accompanied to APC National Party Secretariat, Abuja by various support groups from Ondo State and other parts of the country who believe that his second term agenda will help to sustain the developmental revolution he has started in the state.
